Project Overview
Elf Labs is an entertainment and technology startup reimagining classic public-domain characters like Cinderella, Pinocchio, and Snow White for a new generation. Blending traditional storytelling with emerging technology, the company is building a platform that spans television, immersive media, and mobile phone–based experiences.
The Challenge
Elf Labs had an ambitious and multi-layered vision. They were simultaneously developing television content, exploring AR and VR applications, and building a mobile phone platform, all while needing to communicate clearly with both investors and the general public. Complicating matters further, much of their IP exists in the public domain, placing them in direct competition with a rapidly growing wave of AI-driven content and reinterpretations.
The Goal
Create a cohesive brand and marketing narrative that could explain what Elf Labs is building, why it matters, and how it is being brought to life, starting with investor-facing storytelling and laying the groundwork for future consumer-facing content.
Our Approach
What We Did
We focused first on structure and story before scale. This included:
- Clarifying Elf Labs’ brand narrative and long-term vision
- Helping translate abstract technology and creative concepts into tangible, understandable ideas
- Creating content that showcased how the company was actively building its franchises behind the scenes
- Developing a phased approach that prioritized investor communication first, with plans to expand into consumer-facing content once the initial series and franchises were locked
Why It Worked
Elf Labs did not need louder messaging. They needed clearer messaging. By grounding the story in real progress, real creative development, and real people behind the work, the brand became more accessible and credible to audiences who were encountering it for the first time.

The Result
The refined narrative gave Elf Labs a stronger foundation for investor conversations and early brand awareness. Their vision became easier to articulate, easier to share, and easier for others to rally behind. The groundwork is now in place to support future consumer-facing campaigns as new projects move toward release.
