Can you tell us a bit about yourself and what inspired you to pursue a career in social media management?
I grew up in Southern California and started pursuing a career in music at a young age. I’m in a band with my siblings called The Young Escape, and we started out writing and producing our own music, booking our own shows, and using social media to help our music grow. We signed a record deal and moved to Nashville in 2017. From that point, I was fully immersed in the Christian music industry and learned that social media is a powerful tool in sharing positive messages with the world. It’s a blessing to be able to pursue this as a career.
What does a typical day look like for you as an account manager at Wander Creative?
Each day is so much fun because it’s all very innovative and creative work. I spend a lot of time looking at the big picture for each client trying my best to bring their vision for their brand to life. We’re always looking for new ways to tell stories. There are content shoots, meetings, scheduling posts, and lots of collaborating with so many amazing people.
What do you find most challenging and most rewarding about your position at Wander Creative?
The biggest challenge is probably ensuring that we have both quality and quantity for each client. It’s paying attention to both the big picture and the tiniest details simultaneously. But the result of doing those things well is the most rewarding part of the job.
What is your favorite platform, and what trends on social media are you excited about?
I love Instagram! It’s always been the place where I stay connected with friends and share the most about my life. Right now, I see a big trend in people sharing their honest beliefs and thoughts. There’s a time for the polished more crafted content, but I’m seeing how strongly we all connect with the more raw and real side of people.
Outside of work, what are some of your personal interests and hobbies that help you stay balanced and inspired?
I love spending time with my family, writing music with my band, baking sourdough bread, and meeting with friends for coffee. I’ve been blessed with a great community of people, so quality time with the ones I love is my favorite thing in the world.
