What inspired you to pursue a career in video production, and how did you get started in the industry?
Can you describe a memorable project you’ve worked on at Wander Creative and what made it special?
One of my favorite projects I’ve worked on while at Wander was our shoot with Corey Asbury and Franni Rae for their song “Only Jesus For My Pain.” I enjoyed this shoot so much because we had an amazing picture car (a vintage Toyota Land Cruiser) with a hard mounted camera attached which made for a pretty cool shot.
What are some of the biggest challenges you face as a Video Producer, and how do you overcome them?
Some of the biggest challenges I face comes during the pre-production portion of a video shoot. It requires me to foresee any potential problems that could arise and find solutions for them. Even though it’s one of the most challenging parts of the process, it’s one of my favorite parts because it gives me a chance to conceptualize what the video’s purpose is and the best way to convey that.
How do you stay current with the latest trends and technologies in video production, and how do they influence your work?
I find that the best way to stay up to date and not fall behind is having a healthy balance of doing and consuming. I take inspiration through whatever I’m consuming (music videos, movies, etc.) and experiment and implement into my own projects.
Outside of work, what are some of your personal interests and hobbies that help you stay balanced and inspired?
Film photography has been a hobby of mine recently, so I try to bring a film camera with me everywhere I go to capture and document my daily life.
